Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the InCost desktop application, the website incost.app and any InCost Pro subscription (together, the "Service"). InCost is developed and operated by Ivan Ostapchuk, an individual software developer based in Lviv, Ukraine ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using InCost you agree to these Terms.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to payment and handles returns.

1. The software

InCost is a Windows desktop application for cost estimating, engineering calculations and related documents. It is offered in two plans: Free, with no time limit, and Pro, a paid subscription that unlocks additional features. Every new installation includes a 4-day Pro trial with no payment details required.

2. License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use InCost for personal or commercial purposes. A Pro license key is issued to the buyer and may be used by one person on their own computers. You may not resell, sublicense, share publicly, reverse engineer, or remove the license protection of the software, except where such restrictions are prohibited by law.

3. Subscriptions and payment

Pro is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription at the prices shown on incost.app at the time of purchase. Applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time using the link in your receipt email or by contacting us; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
After payment, your Pro license key is sent to the email address used at checkout. A renewed subscription extends your access automatically.
We may change prices for future billing periods. We will notify existing subscribers by email before a price change applies to them.

4. Refunds

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy, which includes a 14-day money-back guarantee.

5. Accuracy of results

InCost helps professionals estimate costs, prepare drawings and perform engineering calculations. Results depend on the data, rates and settings you enter. Structural, quality-control and other engineering results are aids and must be checked by a qualified person before they are used for design, manufacturing or construction decisions. You remain responsible for the quotes, drawings and decisions you make with the software.

6. Updates

InCost may download and install updates that fix problems or add features. Updates are signed, and the app verifies them before installing.

7. Your data

InCost runs on your computer. Your drawings, prices, quotes and other work data are stored locally and are not uploaded to us. See the Privacy Policy for details.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

9. Termination

We may suspend a license that is used in breach of these Terms, for example if a key is shared publicly. You may stop using InCost at any time.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The current version is always available at incost.app/terms.html, and material changes will be announced on the website.
