Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the InCost desktop application and the website incost.app. InCost is developed and operated by Ivan Ostapchuk, an individual software developer based in Lviv, Ukraine ("we", "us"). We collect as little personal data as possible.
1. The InCost application
- Your work stays on your computer. Drawings, models, prices, quotes, inventory and other data you create are stored locally on your PC and are not sent to us.
- Update checks. The app periodically downloads a small file from GitHub (github.com and raw.githubusercontent.com) to check for new versions. GitHub may log technical information such as your IP address under its own privacy policy. We do not receive personal data from these checks.
- License. Your Pro license key is stored on your computer (in the app data folder and Windows registry) so that Pro stays active after updates.
- The app does not contain advertising or third-party tracking.
2. Purchases
Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. When you buy Pro, Paddle collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details under the Paddle Privacy Policy. We receive from Paddle your name, email address, country and order details so that we can issue and send your license key and provide support. We never receive your full card details.
3. The website
incost.app is hosted on GitHub Pages and served through Cloudflare. These providers may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. The website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Your chosen language is saved in your browser only.
4. Email
If you write to hello@incost.app or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message and use them only to reply. Email is delivered through Cloudflare Email Routing.
5. How long we keep data
Order and license records are kept for as long as needed to provide the license and to meet legal and tax obligations. Support emails are kept while they are needed to help you.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to its processing, by writing to hello@incost.app. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always available at incost.app/privacy.html.
